There are many occasions where you’d wish a friend good luck – before a competition or race, when starting a new job, or pursuing a new goal.
日本ではきっとその友達に「頑張れ」という言葉を送るでしょう。その一方でアメリカでは「グッドラック」と言いますよね？ところがこの２つの言葉、実は全く同じ意味とは言えないと思いませんか？
In Japan, we would say, “Ganbare” to that same friend. But, the two phrases have different meanings.
